About Role:

The accounts receivable accountant will provide technical support to the team and be in charge of running the function on their own. The position will assist the treasury accountant with bank reconciliation and the AR team with maintaining student records in the finance management system. The position also helps with fee collection and advises students on financial matters pertaining to their tuition and other charges.

Responsibilities:

Within 24 hours of receiving bank advice, inward remittances are allocated and accounted for.
Accounting for all cash payment vouchers in accordance with the KPIs.
Arrange online or cheque payments and send to payee for authorization and confirmation.
H2H and urgent payment processing, as requested.
Reconciliation of supplier SOAs and matching to our accounting systems.

Requirements:

A degree in accounting or finance, or the equivalent in a professional accounting body, is required.
Working experience of at least three years is required.
Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken).
Analytical thinking ability.
Capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
