About Role:

The General Accountant will support accounts receivable and payable, as well as assist the financial accountant in month end closing, reporting to the Head of Finance. The position also assists in the upkeep of the cost coding structure, the updating of finance department processes, and cost control.

Responsibilities:

Creating and disseminating reports on various cost centres and projects.
Maintaining communication, accounts, and records for all internal and external grant projects.
Payroll reconciliation preparation
Keeping track of work in progress and fixed assets.

Requirements:

Undergraduate Business and Commerce Degree or equivalent work experience
5 years or more of financial accounting experience in a large or complex organisation
Experience in the education sector has provided extensive knowledge of accounting principles.
