About Role:

The Accounts Payable department is in charge of a company’s financial, administrative, and clerical support. They are in charge of making payments to suppliers and other creditors owed by the company, as well as paying vendor invoices or bills and recording the company’s short-term debts. This department is critical to the smooth operation of any business. In larger companies, accounts payable is usually its own department, but in smaller businesses, accounts payable and receivable tasks are usually combined.

Responsibilities:

Posting business transactions, processing invoices, and verifying financial data for use in accounts payable records
Provide any other clerical assistance required to meet the organization’s obligations.
Keep meticulous records of all outstanding payables.
Ensure that an organization’s financial documents are accurate for payment, auditing, and tax purposes.
Protect your company from unintentional overpayment.
Use effective monitoring to ensure that vendor payments are made on time.

Requirements:

A degree is not required.
A basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting is required.
A degree in the following subjects would be advantageous.
Analytical abilities
Computational abilities that are detail oriented and organised
Capabilities in leadership
Communication abilities, both written and oral
Problem-solving abilities
