About Role:

Drive an ambulance to emergency calls in a safe and accurate manner; pass all required certifications and skills tests. Assist with patient care by performing tasks such as transferring patients from stretcher to ambulance and transporting them to emergency care facilities. Assist with pre-hospital care, including CPR, lifting, and medication administration as needed.

Responsibilities:

Assist with pre-hospital care, including CPR, lifting, and medication administration as needed. Assist dispatch and medical personnel with patient assessments, communication with emergency medical technicians and medical control stations, and appropriately responding to emergency situations.
Perform ambulance maintenance, such as changing filters and fluids.
Maintain ambulance equipment by cleaning, repairing, and beautifying it.
Assist customers and residents with needs such as luggage transport and directions.
Notify dispatch of any emergency incidents, accidents, or dangerous conditions.
Assist in the preparation of the ambulance for transport.
Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements:

A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
A valid driver’s licence is required.
A certificate as an ambulance driver is required.
Understanding of ambulance service rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
The ability to work well under duress.
