About Role:

The Vehicle Parts Storekeeper is responsible for overseeing the replacement parts inventory for the company’s fleet of trucks and automobiles, keeping orderly storage areas and accurate records, and purchasing necessary parts and assemblies.

Responsibilities:

Oversees the computerised parts catalogue system and keeps an inventory of regular and special-order parts and supplies on hand.
Parts are distributed to service mechanics.
Determines the best sources for replacement parts and assemblies.
Purchases common items.
Receives and inspects incoming shipments for material quantity and quality.
Processes invoices for payment and keeps accurate records.
Obtains quotes for major purchases and approval for nonroutine purchases.
Through collaboration with sales and other company personnel, maintains knowledge of pricing, part changes, and technical service bulletins.

Requirements:

Excellent understanding of auto spare parts (light and heavy vehicles).
Capable of identifying and organising auto spare parts on their own (inventory management).
Capable of maintaining stock and updating the system as needed.
Store items should be distributed in accordance with the documents and instructions provided by the Store Supervisor.
Assist with inventory taking as needed.
Extensive knowledge of the local market.
Capable of keeping a job card.
