About Role:

Utilizes a CAD workstation to review and prepare engineering drawings from rough sketches and/or general engineering and design information, including standard arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, and so on. Collaborates with other Designers/Drafters and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design. Completes assignments by applying standard design principles and theories.

Responsibilities:

Uses technical manuals to ensure adherence to company policies as well as applicable standards and codes such as ANSI, PFI, and ASME.
Ensures that design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications are met.
Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations needed for drawing preparation.
Reads and comprehends orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs, as well as supplier/manufacturer drawings.
As directed by the immediate supervisor, makes necessary changes, additions, and/or revisions.

Requirements:

Civil engineering diploma or degree
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on infrastructure projects, preferably in the UAE
PC literacy, as well as proficiency with CAD and Microstation, are required.
