About Role:

Giving customers a good experience by being fair, friendly, and courteous. Registering sales on a cash register by scanning items, itemising and totaling customers’ purchases. Resolving customer issues and answers questions.

Responsibilities:

Itemizing and totaling purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items; and operating a cash register.
Entering price changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins.
Accepts cash or charge payments from customers and provides change for cash customers.

Requirements:

Verifying credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver’s licence number; and operating credit card authorization systems.
Balancing cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.
Answering questions to provide pricing information.
Maintaining checkout operations by adhering to policies and procedures and reporting any changes that are required.
Keeping the workplace safe and clean by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as a team member
