About Role:

Port To Port Immigration Services is looking for skilled and experienced Chefs to relocate to Canada permanently. The employer will NOT cover relocation costs; however, compensation packages are competitive. Atlantic Canada is one of the most appealing regions in Canada, providing ideal settlement locations for families in both rural and urban areas.

Responsibilities:

Plan and direct the food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants in a single establishment, restaurant chains, hospitals, or other food-service establishments.
Consult with clients about weddings, banquets, and special events.
Plan menus and ensure food quality standards are met.
Estimate food requirements as well as food and labour costs.
Supervise the work of sous-chefs, specialty chefs, chefs, and cooks.
Make arrangements for the purchase and repair of equipment.
Recruit and hire employees. Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, as well as for special guests or functions.

Requirements:

Supervise the work of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen personnel.
May plan menus and requisition food and kitchen supplies; demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to the cooking staff
Meals or specialty foods may be prepared and cooked.
Prepare and cook complete meals or specialty foods like pastries, sauces, soups, salads, vegetables, and meat, poultry, and fish dishes, as well as create decorative food displays for special events like banquets.
Teach cooks about food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation.
Make new recipes.
