About Role:

The coordinating nurse is responsible for performing a thorough telephonic medical assessment of patients worldwide by gathering medical, logistical, and collateral histories pertaining to the medical event / incident. This medical evaluation is used to provide tailored and relevant medical advice, referrals, and complex medical case management, which may include medical transportation using evidence-based medicine.

Responsibilities:

Keep abreast of rapidly changing health trends, endemic health risks, pandemics, and their effects on global health infrastructure.
Learn to navigate internal and external public health resources in order to provide the most tailored advice to clients before, during, and after travel.
To provide telephonic triage to clients in international settings, taking into account their past medical history, endemic health risks, and presenting circumstances.
Conduct a critical analysis of the client’s requests for assistance to ensure that their individual health needs are met, as well as actively seeking out opportunities to provide a holistic value-added service.

Requirements:

Consolidated experience in acute care at a high level
Previous medical assistance experience is preferred but not required.
Previous public health and/or travel health experience is preferred but not required.
