About Role:
An expert who converts paper formats into digital files or database systems is known as a data entry clerk. They handle immediately entering client data provided in an electronic way into spreadsheets with several statistics. Due to the potential for mistakes to result in more serious issues within a corporation, attention to detail is crucial.
Responsibilities:
- Use keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners to enter data from paper forms into computer files or database systems.
- Enter the information provided by customers directly.
- Make accurate calculations in spreadsheets with several figures.
- Compare data to source documents to ensure accuracy.
Requirements:
- A history of working as a data entry clerk
- A rapid typing speed; The use of a touch-screen keyboard is highly recommended.
- Excellent proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing programmes (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
- Working familiarity with office supplies, computer gear, and computer peripherals
