About Role:

The School Doctor is in charge of students’ physical/medical examinations, first aid and emergency care, communicable disease prevention and control, and the upkeep of all medical records and reports.

Responsibilities:

Provide effective leadership over school clinic operations and services according to legislative and compliance requirements.
Ensure implementation of all mandated policies and protocols in collaboration with the school’s administrative authorities and school personnel.
Conduct a thorough medical examination on all newly registered and existing students in any grade level, and document the results in the school health record.
Promptly attend to students with injuries or other conditions requiring immediate attention.
Assess, plan, and implement health care plans for children with chronic illnesses and children with special needs including allergies.
Participate in planning and conducting health education activities in the school.

Requirements:

Professional Degree in Medicine (preferably in Pediatrics or Family Medicine) (preferably in Pediatrics or Family Medicine)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Pediatrics or a related field (Required)
A current DHA licence
English Language Proficiency (French and Arabic will be an advantage)
Excellent communication skills and team player
Leadership and accountability abilities
Assessment, documentation, and planning
Has self-assurance and competence in carrying out professional responsibilities.
