About Role:

Electrical drafters, often known as electrical designers, create layouts and wiring schematics for electrical systems. They collaborate with architects and engineers to define project requirements, generate electrical diagrams and technical specifications, and estimate the amount of materials and equipment required for an electrical installation.

Responsibilities:

Meeting with clients and engineers to determine project specifications.
Performing site investigations to establish power requirements and functional requirements.
Developing technical wiring and power arrangement schematics, as well as specifications papers.
Estimating the necessary power generation and consumption requirements.
Determining the quantity of supplies and equipment required.
Creating technical specifications, installation guidelines, and user manuals.
Assuring that all regulatory and safety criteria are met by the electrical plans.

Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in electrical drafting, drafting design, electrical engineering, or a related field is required.
A minimum of two years of experience as an electrical drafter is required.
Certification from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) is preferred.
AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks are examples of CAD software.
Good knowledge of various electrical generation and transmission systems.
Knowledge of electrical safety rules, construction codes, and health standards is required.
