About Role:

Our client, who owns and operates trendy and award-winning casual dining establishments, is looking for Hostesses to join their team and serve as the first point of contact for their guests. The responsibilities of the Hostess include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times, and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas. To ensure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive until they leave, you should have strong organisational and people skills.

Responsibilities:

Welcome visitors to the venue.
Provide precise wait times and keep track of waiting lists.
Control reservations
Customers should be escorted to designated dining or bar areas.
Provide menus and make announcements Name of the waiter/waitress
Greet customers as they leave.
Discuss available seating options with wait staff.
Keep the reception area clean.
Attend to guests who require special attention (e.g. children, elderly)
Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries
As needed, assist wait staff.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or Waiter/Waitress is required.
Knowledge of restaurant etiquette
Knowledge of health and safety regulations Experience managing reservations
Excellent communication skills and customer service experience (via phone and in-person)
Strong organisational skills, as well as the ability to keep an eye on the entire dining and bar area
Availability to work in shifts as needed Good physical condition to walk and stand for the duration of a shift High school diploma; hospitality certification is preferred
