About Role:

A Housekeeping Coordinator works as part of a team and is in charge of the Housekeeping unit’s day-to-day operations. The Housekeeping Coordinator, as a member of this work team, ensures that the Housekeeping unit operates efficiently, meets performance goals, timelines, and standards, stays current with institutional housekeeping “best practises,” and stays within defined budgetary parameters for equipment, supplies, and personnel expenses. Furthermore, each Housekeeping Coordinator supervises the work of a team of Custodians and may perform custodial duties in the absence of crew members or as needed.

Responsibilities:

The Housekeeping Coordinator must respond to all Housekeeping calls in order to improve the department’s operational and administrative efficiency. In terms of guest perception and internal team organisation, the coordinator is critical.
As the person will be in charge of all room assignments and changes that occur through reservation and front office, excellent organisational skills are required.
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to establish close working relationships with all departments of the hotel, particularly the IRD and Engineering departments.
Organizing the Housekeeping department.
Assisting with the payroll process
