About Role:

The IT Helpdesk is in charge of assisting and facilitating school members’ use of IT equipment and applications. Throughout the school, Microsoft 365/Google Suite and the Apple ecosystem are used.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining, installing, and supporting the use of computer equipment and peripherals in the school for curriculum and administrative purposes. Maintain the condition of all computers and printers.
  • Install and configure a wide range of software, including Apple and Microsoft products.
  • Day-to-day IT support, including first and second-level support for the school’s web-based applications and educational subscriptions.
  • To assist in the setup of systems or the resolution of issues, communicate with staff/users through a series of actions, either face to face or over the phone.
  • Examining the operation of school systems and reporting any equipment that needs to be repaired or upgraded.
  • To document and test all hardware and software installations and changes, and to keep the inventory up to date at all times.

Requirements:

  • A minimum diploma in information technology or the equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working in a school or other educational setting Ability to prioritise work while under pressure
  • At all levels, excellent communication and collaborative skills are required.
  • Be able to support and guide staff and students at all levels throughout the school community.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion
  • A self-sufficient team player who can work with little supervision.
