About Role:

International School of the Stars Mirdif is a British Curriculum School located in Dubai’s Mirdif Community, offering EYFS, Primary, and Secondary Education. We are looking for a Primary Learning Support Assistant who is enthusiastic, committed, and energetic enough to work in a rapidly growing and improving school. The position is available immediately.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and support students, including those with special educational needs, to ensure their safety and access to learning activities.
Create positive relationships with children and interact with them based on their individual needs.
Encourage all children’s inclusion and acceptance.
Encourage children to interact with others and participate in teacher-led activities.
Establish challenging and demanding expectations while encouraging self-esteem and independence.
Under the supervision of the teacher, provide feedback to children on their progress and achievements.
In accordance with lesson plans, create and maintain a purposeful, orderly, and supportive environment, and assist with the display of children’s work.

Requirements:

o Support the school’s goals, values, and policies, and take a team approach to all aspects of school life.
Assist in the supervision of students outside of class times, such as before and after school and at lunch.
Attend and contribute to regular staff meetings and in-service training, identify areas of personal practise and experience to develop, and share expertise to promote colleague development.
To accept appropriate responsibility for safeguarding and the welfare of children, as well as to be aware of confidential issues related to home/child/teacher/school and to keep confidences appropriately.
