About Role:

You will play an important role in assisting the Teacher/Lead Practitioner in promoting all students’ learning and personal development. Your role will be primarily in the classroom, but you will also assist the Teacher and the School in other areas related to assisting teaching and learning throughout the school.

Responsibilities:

Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Additional Learning Needs in a classroom setting (ALN).
Understanding of the national Key Stage Curriculum.
A thorough understanding of how children develop socially and psychologically.
Active listening abilities and strong verbal communication skills are required.
A commitment to building positive relationships with students and understanding their needs.
The ability to provide varying levels of individual attention, reassurance, and assistance with learning tasks based on the needs of each student.

Requirements:

5 GCSEs, including English and Math, at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C).
Level 2 Certificate in School Supporting Teaching and Learning.
Previous experience providing educational support to children.
Fluency in both spoken and written English.
In addition, you must pass an enhanced background (DBS) check.
