About Role:

Creating mechanical systems, products, and components that meet customer needs, safety standards, and cost-effectiveness targets. Identifying opportunities for improvement and optimisation by analysing and evaluating existing mechanical systems and components. Experiments and tests are carried out to validate mechanical designs and ensure that they meet performance and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Working with cross-functional teams like electrical engineers, software engineers, and manufacturing engineers to ensure mechanical designs are compatible with other systems and processes.
Managing projects from inception to completion, including project planning, tracking progress, and reporting on project status.
Conducting research to stay up to date on mechanical engineering advances and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Other team members, such as engineers, designers, and technicians, receive technical guidance and support.
Communicating with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders in order to understand their needs and requirements and to ensure that mechanical designs meet their expectations.
Assuring that all work is done in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations, and that all required documentation is complete and accurate.

Requirements:

Developing detailed drawings and specifications for mechanical components and systems, including part lists, assembly instructions, and performance specifications.
