About Role:

The School Nurse is a critical position in any school to ensure complete student care and the maintenance of a healthy school environment. The role entails assisting the School Doctor in the physical/medical examination of students, first aid and emergency care, communicable disease prevention and control, and the maintenance of all records and reports.

Responsibilities:

Keeping accurate and complete health-care records and reports.
Medication administration and monitoring for side effects and reactions.
Prescription of assistive medical devices and treatments.
Taking vital signs and medical information from patients.
Medical diagnostic and clinical tests are ordered.

Requirements:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing is required.
Pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
Current state registered nurse licensure and BLS certification are required.
BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association
