About Role:

This position is available with a well-known construction or manufacturing company. You will primarily be responsible for issuing employee payments as a Payroll Accountant. Payroll schedules and records will be prepared by you. In general, you would be performing various accounting tasks while updating payroll system files. It is your responsibility to ensure that the salary payments are correct. You will calculate overtime while demonstrating your knowledge and expertise in applicable tax laws. In terms of earnings and deductions, you will prepare ledger entries and then enter data into payroll.

Responsibilities:

Control employee pay.
Calculate net pay after deductions and withholdings.
Ensure that payroll and tax documents are correct.
Refresh the general ledger and payroll files.
Prepare accounting records, files, and schedules.
Keep track of paid and unpaid leaves.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a payroll accountant or in a related role is required.
Understanding local and governmental payroll regulations
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Excellent computational ability
Pay close attention to the details.
A legitimate national certification (e.g. Fundamental Payroll Certification)
