About Role:

To ensure the NOV CAPS Completion Tools supply chain operates effectively, the Purchasing & Logistics Specialist will follow and implement policies covering supplier selection, performance measurement, commodity purchase, and liaison with other internal businesses and key suppliers. Your expertise in identifying and implementing efficient manufacturing planning and scheduling methodologies will improve on-time delivery and reduce manufacturing lead-times to ensure business growth.

Responsibilities:

Identify opportunities for cost and leadtime reductions in CT operations.
Work with identified internal and third-party sources (with engineering and quality assistance) to establish proper component/assembly qualification.
Set up pricing agreements with the central CT supply chain team and third-party suppliers to reduce overall COGS.
Assist in the formation of vendor managed inventory supply agreements in order to limit exposure to excess inventory.
Assist in the identification of troubled suppliers (in terms of quality, delivery, and/or cost) and alternative replacements in order to strengthen the overall supply chain.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, supply chain management, or a closely related field.
5 years of experience and knowledge in supply chain and business management is preferred.
Understanding of manufacturing planning in heavy industry involving low volume and high variation Knowledge of ERP systems.
Excellent knowledge of Supply Chain Management, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.
