About Role:

Individual researchers may delegate additional duties and responsibilities. Quarterly work requirements and schedules must be discussed with the Supervisor to ensure that work priorities can be met within the 220 work hours allotted for the quarter (for a normal half-time appointment). Concerns about additional responsibilities should be addressed first with the supervisor (faculty researcher), then with the Chair of the Graduate Program Committee or the Department Chair.

Responsibilities:

Conduct literature searches
Data collection and analysis Preparation of materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations
Prepare materials for review by the UW Human Subjects Committee.
Make a list of interview questions.
Subjects should be recruited and/or interviewed.
Maintain accurate interview records while protecting subjects’ confidentiality as needed.

Requirements:

Academic and/or work experience in the research field, as defined by the supervisor/lead researcher
As required by the supervisor, experience with specialised software or datasets.
Academic progress that meets the supervisor’s standards
