To be a successful storekeeper, you must be able to multitask and work under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanour with customers. A good storekeeper manages stock by keeping track of sales and ordering replacement items as needed, as well as occasionally purchasing new products that customers may enjoy.
- Classify, store, and tag items in the warehouse on a daily basis in accordance with shop procedures and item characteristics, to ensure timely product discovery and release.
- Participate in product inventory and report end-of-day inventory status to Shop Manager.
- Receive merchandise, count it both physically and electronically to ensure data accuracy, and inspect its quality to report discrepancies.
- Assist Sales Associates in replenishing shelf stock to ensure product availability at all times.
