About Role:

Responsible for the courteous and efficient reception of patients, recording information required for hospital system registration, and providing efficient directions to patients. Accept the patient’s payment. As assigned, perform clerical duties such as patient appointments, maintaining logs, preparing statistics, and ordering and stocking office supplies.

Responsibilities:

Inform the patient about the cost of the consultation, procedure, laboratory test, radiology test, and medication that will be administered if necessary.
Accepts payments and generates an invoice for the patient’s payment.
Knowledgeable about insurance cards for deductibles and co-payments, if applicable.
Manage to inform and explain to the patient in an understandable manner what the insurance coverage entails.
Answers the patient’s questions in accordance with the payment clarification they made.
Reminds the patient of their next doctor’s appointment.

Requirements:

A minimum of one year recent experience in the health care field is required.
Capability to use computers
Must be fluent in both oral and written English. Must have adequate communication skills to communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and supervisors.
