About Role:

A Switchboard Telephonist accepts, delivers, and responds to messages from guests and management, as well as inquiries and emergencies, and uses their knowledge of the hotel’s facilities, services, and the surrounding area to provide prompt service.

Responsibilities:

Obtain positive results from Guest inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
Accept and deliver all messages for both guests and management in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure that all wake-up calls occur at the appropriate time.
Show knowledge of all hotel amenities and services, and use up-selling techniques to promote these offerings when appropriate.
Respond immediately to emergency calls and provide complete and accurate information as needed.
At all times, demonstrate a high level of customer service.
Comply with all hotel security, fire, and health and safety regulations.
When necessary, attend appropriate training courses.
Show an understanding of all hotel services, local attractions, and landmarks in the hotel’s vicinity.
Follow the company’s brand guidelines.
As needed, assist other departments.
