About Role:

Transport officers are in charge of ensuring the safe and secure transportation of people and goods. They keep track of all commercial and private transportation modes, including air, sea, rail, and road traffic. Transport officers may also be assigned to investigate accidents or incidents that occur while on the road. Interviewing witnesses and examining evidence are all part of determining what happened and who is to blame.

Responsibilities:

providing passengers and cargo with security by monitoring computer screens that display security camera footage from airports and other transportation facilities
Interacting with customers to answer questions about bus schedules and routes, ticket prices, and other inquiries
Inspecting vehicle interiors and exteriors for damage or defects that could pose a safety risk during travel
collaborating with airport personnel to ensure that all cargo is unloaded from planes and loaded onto trucks for delivery to its final destination

Requirements:

A high school diploma is frequently required for a position as a transport officer.
An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, or a closely related field may be preferred by some employers.
Criminal law, criminal procedure, criminology, police science, law, and criminal justice courses can provide you with the knowledge you need to succeed in this role.
