About Role:

When customers arrive at a restaurant, cafe, or other eating or drinking establishment, they are greeted. Customers are introduced to the menu and daily or seasonal menu specials are announced. Responds to inquiries about menu items, ingredients, and pricing. Takes food and beverage orders from customers by writing them on a ticket, entering them into a tablet, or memorising them. Customer orders are passed on to kitchen staff for preparation. Prepares and serves drinks to customers.

Responsibilities:

Tables’ used dishes, glasses, and flatware are removed.
Prepares and delivers cheques to customers
Processes cash and credit card payments and, if necessary, returns change to customers.
Tables are set with dishes, glasses, and flatware, and condiments are refilled.
Maintains familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information. Meets with managers and wait staff on a daily or weekly basis to learn about menu changes and specials, as well as to discuss upcoming reservations and customers with special needs.

Requirements:

Work experience as a Waiter or Waitress is required.
Working knowledge of a cash register and an ordering information system
Customers’ attention and patience
Outstanding presentation abilities
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, as well as the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment Active listening and communication skills
Flexibility to work in shifts Team spirit
