About Role:

A material handler is responsible for storing, transporting, and managing hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Their duties include moving stock, documenting deliveries, and monitoring supplies. They are also known as warehouse associates. They do not require formal education but do need on-the-job training.

Responsibilities:

Inventory is loaded and unloaded from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas.
Ensure that all incoming deliveries correspond to the company’s purchase order.
Cargo is stored in designated areas using cargo boards and pallets.
Inventory management entails identifying, cataloguing, and recording the location of inventory.

Requirements:

A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role is required.
Forklift certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is advantageous.
Excellent physical fitness and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Overtime availability, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
