Introduction to Dubai Metro
The Dubai Metro is a fast train system in Dubai, UAE. It’s managed by a French company called Keolis and has two operational lines: the Red Line and the Green Line. There’s also a new extension called Route 2020. The first two lines run underground in the city center, and the other trains are automated and driverless. They have air conditioning and platform side doors.
A company called Aedas designed 45 metro stations, two depots, and operational control centers. The construction of the Dubai Metro was done by the Al Ghareer Investment Group.
The Red Line’s first part, with ten stations, opened in 2009. In 2016, it held the record for the world’s longest driverless metro network, covering 75 kilometers. The total length of the Red Line is 52.1 kilometers, making it the world’s longest driverless metro line.
